Several fall weekends at the cabin and 2 trips
In late September, Glenn and Marian, Jen and Dan, and Bob and Sharon joined us.
The nearly-newlyweds played with me.
Bill visited Barb and Bob Nelson at their home in October. Barb's Bach is exquisite.

Thanksgiving, 2001. We drove up Wednesday, and the pediatric resident caught up on some sleep. I joined her, even though I'm not a real doctor.
Forrest had a new rocket, and we marched to the meadow for the launch. An electrical malfunction caused him to scrub it. The big storm was just coming in, too. I picked up some snow balls.
Thanksgiving dinner featured a free range, organic, antibiotic-free bird. It was delicious. Overnight about a foot of light powder fell, and the route we had easily hiked the day before we could now ski with abandon. The turkey soup was delicious.
  • The Johnson's stopped by after inspecting their new house, which is now tight to the weather, and is lovely. Sydney and Alex sledded after playing with the forest ranger set - the first sibling pair to do so in several decades, I think.
