Joan and Bill visit Cindy, Mike, and Bob, and their families
Home with the Lillards. The Homecoming Dance Saturday night saw Katie and friends dressed as bikers. Sunday morning Cindy and Tom led us on a walk through beautiful Wilmette to Lake Michigan. That evening, they hosted dinner for Mike and Renee and their children (Ryan and Rebecca), and Bob and Beth (their children - Sarah, Emily, and Eric - stayed home since Tommy Lillard was recovering from a cold).

Coin collection. On Monday, Cindy, Mike, and Bob joined us at the bank in LaGrange to inspect the PTB Coin Collection. We arrived about 10:30, and closed the place at 6pm, even eating lunch as we worked. We appraised all of the US coins in the collection - our best guess is $ERRRR, to use the secret code that PTB used to note the cost of the coins.

At home with Mike and Renee. We spent Monday night with Mike and Renee and Ryan and Rebecca. Mike embraced all of the proof sets that had resided in a safe deposit box for all these years. We convinced Mike to store them, which will save us the $85 yearly charge to house these coins (worth about $BRR, we estimated). Rebecca was fascinated by some of the ancient coins that we brought back, with the intent of researching their value.

At home at 300 South Stone. On Tuesday, Joan flew home to Colorado and Bill went to LaGrange, where he walked around the neighborhood where he grew up, visited some of the schools he attended, and had the enormous good fortune to meet Mary Mlynski, who happened to be taking her daughter to school as Bill walked by her home at 300 South Stone. A tour of her house, from attic to basement, brought back many memories.

On to Olde Europe. Bill went on to a scientific meeting in the Black Forest region of Germany, and then, after a few days in London, returned home.
