Two cabins, about 110 years old 31. 32. 33. 34. 35. The cabins were built to house workmen. The plan was to create a big resevoir in the valley above. The strategy was simple: because the river was underground here, and because the canyon was narrow, if concrete were pumped into the underground riverbed, it would plug the river and fill the canyon.
