21. One of Ant's (and possibly the rooster's) favorite chickens (a marin) died on Sunday, evidently of old age. It laid beautiful brown eggs

35. There were five lambs when I arrived on Thursday, four on Saturday (one lost to a fox?) and six (a second set of twins born) on Sunday, illustrating the ebb and flow of life at Brockley
