Christmas 1998
  • We went to the cabin on the 23rd, and cut and decorated the tree right away. Joan's birthday was celebrated on the 24th, and that evening we went to the first ever Christmas Eve service, conducted by Sam Kirk and held in the new horse barn. I looked good in my velvet collar, and barked at Barely. About 40 people and dogs attended, and we all sang carols and then had a party at the Gerdings.
  • My old friend Poppy came for a visit, together with Linda Tomberg and her son Spencer.
  • They skied every day (I went along twice), and the conditions were OK. On the day we left, a nice storm came in, and about 5" had accumulated when we left to go home, and celebrate Joan & Bill's 30th anniversary.
