It was a beautiful weekend! Carl Rovainen flew in from St.Louis. Joan's Regis colleague Michael Ghedotti joined us. Sue, Marshall, and Forrest came over for dinner.
Michael found great pond life. Joan and Bill hauled 30 tree trunks that the beavers had felled down to the ponds (and they were gone the next morning!). Carl was presented with a cut log. Being a woodcarver, he took home an aspen log (carry on).
Bill suffered an advanced case of chain saw fever and clear cut Marty's lot. The rose hip fairy made her annual appearance.

This disgusting and hilarious statue appeared on a stump at Jim Gorman's, displayed prominently near our neighbor's driveway, where they can't miss it. To see an enlarged version, replace "991002.htm" at the top of this page with "name.jpg", where "name" is the surname of those to whom the gnome is gesturing....
