Stitching and decking
Some progress is evident on the two cabins. But first, three sagas on the road, which was incredibly slippery this afternoon. The Boscarellos couldn't make it up, and Dennis Heagney stopped to help. He got out, and a short time later (he estimates 7-8 minutes) his car (empty, in Park) started to slide, and spun right off the road. Meanwhile, the Boscarellos made it down the hill, but with a flat tire and no jack. We arrived, and brought them to the cabin to call AAA. Then Bill took the Boscarellos back down, and on the way passed another 2-wheel drive car going up. Uh-oh.... And sure enough, as Bill drove back up after dropping off the Boscarellos, there on the steep hill was that car, sideways on the road. So he helped push (by hand) them around. They then drove to town, bought tire chains, and showed up at the cabin (invited earlier) for a cup of tea as sunset approached. Then they headed out to winter camp up the valley! Kelly are Cole are a young couple from Boulder who were cheerfully undaunted by their saga.
